We are back from the EUSEA - European Science Engagement Association 2025 Conference in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, held on May 14–15 at the Elder Museum of Science and Technology.

Themed "Crossing Oceans – Raising Our Sails: Navigating Public Engagement in Turbulent Times", the event brought together over 130 participants from 48 countries, including researchers, science communicators, and public engagement professionals.
It is exciting to have been part of the 20 members of Irish delegation (you can be proud Research Ireland!), with 7 representatives from the University of Galway - College of Science and Engineering at the University of Galway!
Silke Kleefeld presented the Science Club Youth Worker training developped in collaboration with Megan Depinna, our favourite community partner from Foróige who was also present. Muriel Grenon also presented a poster on our Fantastic DNA practices and 2023 impact. It was great to engage in insightful discussions on science communication and public engagement.

Inspiring workshops and presentations were also given by our collaborator Enda O'Connell from ReelLifeScience and our colleague Claire Riordan from CÚRAM, Research Ireland Centre for Medical Devices, and improv experts Jessamyn Fairfield & Gesche Kindermann.
Thank you so much to the organizers, LPRC - La Palma Research Centre and EUSEA, for facilitating such a collaborative and inspiring event. Looking forward to applying the insights gained and continuing the conversations initiated at the conference.
